2024.1.10 - Custom Fields & Performance Gains
As part of our continuous efforts to enhance the functionality and efficiency of the PPM Process Package, we are excited to introduce version 2024.1.10. This release brings forth advancements in customization, performance enhancements, and new features designed to streamline your project management workflow. Features Performance Enhancements BRF+ Access Speed: Significant improvements in BRF+ access speed across the application enhance overall performance and user experience. Reliable Field Reloads: The reliability of reloading relevant fields has been improved, ensuring that data is up-to-date and accurately displayed. Easy Role Copying and Pasting: New buttons for copying and pasting roles within a project are now enabled by default, simplifying role management and duplication. Under the Hood Improvements Project Tree Loading: Substantial under-the-hood improvements in loading the project tree, both in Project Planning and Project Structure, lay the groundwork for significant performance enhancements in upcoming releases. Custom Field Definitions in DPR_PART and DPR_BUPA_LINK Enhanced Data Customization: Customers can define their own customer fields within DPR_PART and DPR_BUPA_LINK, offering greater flexibility in tailoring data to fit specific project needs. Following an intentional period of comprehensive testing to solidify the platform’s stability, we are excited to launch version 2024.1.9. This release ushers in advanced features that empower users with real-time customization and expand the visual and functional versatility of PPP. 2024.1.8 - Stability Enhancements

Version 2024.1.8 of the PPM Process Package focuses on implementing urgent bug fixes to ensure uninterrupted service and enhanced user experience. 2024.1.7 - Bridging Roles and Tasks
As we continue to evolve and refine the capabilities of the PPM Process Package (PPP), we are excited to announce the rollout of version 2024.1.7. This update is headlined by a significant enhancement in role management and task assignment, designed to streamline project structuring and resource allocation. Features Role Task Assignments (RTA) Enhanced Role Functionality: A new dimension of project management is now accessible through the “Tasks” tab within Roles. This functionality enables the assignment of Tasks from the Project Structure directly to a specific Role. Additionally, Resources can be assigned to these tasks simultaneously, facilitating a more integrated and efficient project planning process. Customizing for BRF+: For those utilizing custom BRF+ decision tables for PARTICIPANT_TABS (see Customizing Role / Participant Tabs), the new tab ID to include is TASKS. This ensures that your custom settings can seamlessly incorporate the new “Tasks” tab for an optimized user experience. Advanced Customization for Mirrored Tasks Flexible Field Settings: The customization options for fields on mirrored tasks have been significantly expanded. It’s now possible to differentiate between assigned and unassigned mirrored tasks, allowing for the dynamic display or hiding of specific fields based on the task’s assignment status. This flexibility ensures that the information presented is relevant and tailored to the task’s context within the project. Continuing our journey to enrich the PPM Process Package (PPP) with user-centric enhancements, we’re proud to introduce version 2024.1.5. This update brings forward innovative features designed to improve project structure accessibility and streamline project navigation, ensuring that users can manage and access their projects more efficiently than ever before. Features Project Structure Sharing with Deep Links Effortless Sharing: We’ve introduced the ability to share nodes within the project structure through “Deep Links.” With a new “Share” button on each project node within the Project Structure, sharing is now more intuitive. When another user opens a Deep Link, they’ll be directly navigated to the shared node within the project tree, enhancing collaboration and ease of access. Power User Flexibility: For those accustomed to shortcuts, copying the browser URL now serves as an efficient method to share project nodes, catering to power users who prefer swift, straightforward actions. Favorites for Quick Project Access Personalize Your Workflow: Users can now mark projects as “Favorites,” which will be visible in a dedicated tab within the Project Overview. This feature allows for quick access to frequently visited projects, streamlining workflow and project navigation. Seamless Integration: Marking a project as a favorite in the classic PPM WebDynpro UI will automatically reflect in PPP’s “Favorites” tab, and vice versa, ensuring a cohesive user experience across different interfaces. Features Aggregated Severities in Project Planning Enhance your project management with the ability to aggregate severities across all project nodes. This new feature simplifies the process of determining a node’s overall severity value based on the severities of its child nodes, making it easier for Project Managers to assess and prioritize work accurately.

As part of our commitment to enhancing and evolving PPM Process Package, we’re excited to unveil version 2024.1.3. Features Project Planning Severities Now update a project node’s severity and display the related icon directly in the Project Planning tab, enhancing visibility and priority management.

Features Introducing the “Authorizations” Tab A new “Authorizations” tab is now available across all project nodes, allowing for precise ACL-based authorization management right within the Project Structure tab. Tailor access to “Users”, “User Groups”, and “Organizational Units” as per your project’s needs.

Similar to the Project Overview, it provides a comprehensive list of all Project Versions, including Snapshots and Simulations. The best part? You can customize all available fields using BRF+ for a tailored experience. Jump right into the Details View with just a click on any entry.
