Environment PPP Installation Procedure Reason The transport file names have not been adapted properly before they were sent to you. The file contents are unimpaired. Solution Manually change the file extension of all provided transport files from “.txt” to “.SED” using the file browser of your choice (Windows Explorer, macOS Finder, etc.) Deletion of BRF+ Decision Table or Ruleset Does Not Have Any Effects at RuntimeProblem You created your own customer BRF+ application as described in Creation of Customer BRF+ Application. Afterwards, you deleted some of the previously copied Decision Tables or Rulesets again, but the application continues to use outdated data. Environment PPP BRF+ Customizing Prerequisites Creation of Customer BRF+ Application Reason When saving and activating a BRF+ Decision Table, the contents are internally converted to ABAP code. In some cases, this code does not get updated when related objects, e.g. from the customer application, are deleted. How to customize fields for Mirrored and Origin TaskProblem You want to customize fields for a Mirrored Task where both fields from the Mirrored Task and from the Original Task are displayed. The SAP Authorizations are set according to this customizing for all scenarios, where SAP Authorizations are set in the PPM Standard too. Regenerating Metadata After Customizing ChangesProblem You performed changes in the BRF+ application and would like to update the OData metadata cache to ensure newly added fields are fully available. Environment SAP Gateway, BRF+ Customizing Reason The SAP Gateway automatically caches information about all available fields to improve performance. As a consequence of this, whenever new fields are added using BRF+, they will not exist in the Gateway cache yet. Newly Added Fields Do Not Appear in Overview ListsProblem You have added new fields to your Overview Lists in the PPP BRF+ customizing, but these fields are not appearing as expected in the user interface. This issue may be persisting despite the correct configuration and setup in the BRF+ application. As such, it is essential for users to be authenticated in the backend system where the SAP PPM installation resides to ensure secure access to the Gantt Chart.
