2024.1.7 - Bridging Roles and Tasks
As we continue to evolve and refine the capabilities of the PPM Process Package (PPP), we are excited to announce the rollout of version 2024.1.7. This update is headlined by a significant enhancement in role management and task assignment, designed to streamline project structuring and resource allocation.
Features
Role Task Assignments (RTA)
- Enhanced Role Functionality: A new dimension of project management is now accessible through the “Tasks” tab within Roles. This functionality enables the assignment of Tasks from the Project Structure directly to a specific Role. Additionally, Resources can be assigned to these tasks simultaneously, facilitating a more integrated and efficient project planning process.
- Customizing for BRF+: For those utilizing custom BRF+ decision tables for PARTICIPANT_TABS (see Customizing Role / Participant Tabs), the new tab ID to include is
TASKS. This ensures that your custom settings can seamlessly incorporate the new “Tasks” tab for an optimized user experience.
Advanced Customization for Mirrored Tasks
- Flexible Field Settings: The customization options for fields on mirrored tasks have been significantly expanded. It’s now possible to differentiate between assigned and unassigned mirrored tasks, allowing for the dynamic display or hiding of specific fields based on the task’s assignment status. This flexibility ensures that the information presented is relevant and tailored to the task’s context within the project.
Bug Fixes
We’ve been hard at work squashing bugs to make your PPP experience smoother. Here’s what we’ve fixed in this release:
