Situation
You’re upgrading from an earlier version of PPM Process Package to a newer release. Manual steps for migration are necessary.
Solution
The following steps are necessary, if you implemented your own BRF+ customizing app and implemented your own item or project creation process. If you have not created your own BRF+ application according to Creation of Customer BRF+ Application or have not changed the creation process, this can be ignored.
Note: When a custom BRF+ Application is being used, please first update the application following remark Creation of Customer BRF+ Application Section: Scenario Update
BRF+ Creation adjustments
Decision Table Creation Results Project
changed from multi output to single output which requieres manual changes to custom BRF+ applications.
If you use the decision table Creation Results Project
you need to change the table settings as follows
- Click on
Table Settings
Button of the decision table - Remove the old result data object
3. select the new data object by searching for application /STX/SOL_PPP_STANDARD
and name /STX/SOL_PPP_S_RESULTS_PROJ_O
4. Click on the conformation popup on “yes” to apply the changes
5. Save and activate
If the function CREATION_RESULTS_PROJECT
exists in the custom app; remove and select the new data object.
- Remove the old data object
- Select the new data object by again searching for application
/STX/SOL_PPP_STANDARD
and name/STX/SOL_PPP_S_RESULTS_PROJ_O
3. save and activate
If the rule CREATION_RESULTS_PROJECT
exists in the custom app;
- to change the rule click on the pencil
2. Click then on remove - if the funtion is already set up correctly this should automatically apply the correct data object
3. Still in the Ruleset; expand the details and click on “Hide Ruleset Header” if not visible, then change the precondition by selecting again the new data object
4. Save and activate
Final Step as new column to determine last step
In BRF+ creation tables CreationForm
, CreationResult
and CreationGraphicArea
the last step was determine if an initial step. A new column **Final Step**
has been added to determine the last step.
Migration steps needed when custom application is being used:
- Update BRF+ custom app following remark Creation of Customer BRF+ Application Section: Scenario Update
- If the new column
**Final Step**
is not visible in the table, add it through the table settings - Enter Value for
**Final Step**
for all steps where a initial next step id is maintained
