Overview List Fields

General Information

Overview is the page of a Project, Project Version, Task, Checklist-Item or an Item Overview that displays a list of objects and their specific criteria. Depending on the user and access level, the details shown in the Overview may vary. 

The list of possible default Overview details can be found in the View Settings (located in the top right corner of the page).

 
To modify the options accessible in View Settings, you need to adjust the Overview List Fields. You can hide certain fields from the list, preventing users from choosing those fields to be displayed in the overview. Alternatively, you can add your own fields if you need more criteria for your Overview.

Description Field

Description (Calculated) Fields is a column in the OverviewFieldSetting BRF+ Table, holding two possible states: KEY and DESCRIPTION.

  • Key: The key values are shown without any transformation.
  • Description: The key values (stored in the database) are transformed to related and better readable texts. This requires a value help for the field. For example, it can change the Text of the Business Partner ID to the Business Partner Name (00012 → “Phillip Bauer”) when displaying it

If you do not have this column in your Customer Application, copy it from the standard Application. Otherwise, a mistake may occur while customizing Decision Table: OVERVIEW_FIELDSETTINGS, Overview Fieldsettings.
