Situation

You’re upgrading from an earlier version of PPM Process Package to a newer release. Manual steps for migration are necessary.

Solution

Decision tables which need adjustments:

  • CREATION_FORM_STEPS - Creation Form Steps
  • CREATION_GRAPHICAL_STEP_CHOICE - Creation Graphical Step Choices
  • FORM_CONTROL_CREATION_STEP - Form Control Creation Step
  • COLUMN_CONTROL_AUTHORIZATION - Column Control Authorization
  • COLUMN_CONTROL_OBJECT_LINK -Colum Control Object Link

Most of the following steps are only necessary when a table that needs adjustments also contains entries.
If the table is empty, only step 3 has to be done.

  1. Export the Table Entries to Excel
  2. Clear the table
  3. Execute Report /STX/SOL_PPP_CUSTOMER_BRF_APP, make sure ‘Recreate Unused’ is set and ‘Simulation Mode’ is not set.
  4. Adjust the Excel File according to the adjustments steps listed below per Decision Table.
  5. Use Excel import functionality to upload the entries back to the Decision Table.

Excel adjustment steps

  • CREATION_FORM_STEPS

  • CREATION_GRAPHICAL_STEP_CHOICE

  • FORM_CONTROL_CREATION_STEP

    • For these tables remove the columns “BUCKET” and “ITEM_TYPE”
  • COLUMN_CONTROL_AUTHORIZATION

    • Change the column name ‘Field Label Text ID’ to ‘Column Label Text ID’
  • COLUMN_CONTROL_OBJECT_LINK

    • Change the column name ‘Column Text ID’ to ‘Column Label Text ID’
