Overview
Team types define a team’s structure, category, and default responsibilities, inherited from a standard team category. The XCM solution allows further customization by mapping a specific team type to each change record type, ensuring tailored responsibility management.
Customization Steps
- Within a team category, team types represent specific subprocesses or functional areas of the overall business process. For instance, under the Change Record category, team types could include “Discrete Industry” and “Process Industry”
- You can maintain team types using the following IMG activity: SPRO → Cross-Application Components → General Application Functions → Responsibility Management → Teams and Responsibilities → Team Categories → Define Team Types

- XCM solution offers enhanced customization by allowing you to restrict each change record type to a single team type. This configuration can be defined in XCM via transaction code
