Overview

SAP Responsibility Management is a functionality used to define, determine, and manage responsibilities across various business processes and objects within SAP systems.
It enables you to define functions and assign them to team members, providing flexibility in allocating responsibilities based on roles or specific activities within a process.

Customization Steps

  • You can define Responsibility Management functions in the SAP Implementation Guide (IMG) by navigating to: SPRO → Cross-Application Components → General Application Functions → Responsibility Management → Define Functions
  • SAP Responsibility Management, a function profile is a predefined grouping of responsibilities linked to specific roles or tasks within a business process. Creates function profiles and assigns functions to function profiles. You can group similar functions for a business process in a function profile.
  • In this Customizing activity, you can create function profiles and assign functions to a function profile via the SAP IMG by navigating to: SPRO → Cross-Application Components → General Application Functions → Responsibility Management → Define Function Profiles → Here, you can create a new profile and assign the appropriate functions to it.
  • Using the following configuration step, you can assign a function profile—containing a group of related functions—to a team category. These assignments are inherited by team types.
